  • Paul - awesome start. Tears in my eyes as I listen to your words. I had my first day of solidarity fasting on Friday.

  • I finally got to see your face, and having heard you speak and seen your enthusiasm, also your reaction to Anna Keenan’s email moved me as well, sadly for me I cannot now take part due to having an accident, I fell off my bike and have got severe bruising, I am a bit frustrated, but with tears in my eyes, I wish you all the best, peace, love and harmony

  • Paul, what an amazing beginning. You are beautiful and I feel so moved by your commitment. I sent Sara’s statement to my family. I feel hope when there are such wonderful young people who care so deeply and who are willing to put their bodies on the line.

  • Paul!
I’m so excited to start this fast with people from around the world. Even if you don’t fast for extensive amounts of time, I think it’s the symbolism behind the action. It’s standing up and demanding action on climate change in any way we can. It’s knowing at the end of the day that there was a problem, and we did something about it!

  • Michael, to you and all your fellow fasters around the globe, strength in your commitment to the planet. May the leaders of the world take your daring act seriously and commit to serious action for the immediate and long term good of all beings.
