Climate Change Why we need to respond now
We are currently living at the most crucial moment in all of history. We are truly the last people who will have a chance to stop climate change. Those who came before us did not understand the situation. And those that follow us will be too late.
It is up to us.
And we can do it. We have the knowledge. We have the technology. But the awful reality is that we are currently failing. And our future is slipping from our grasp.
All of us share a responsibility to turn this situation around, but especially our leaders. Our political leaders have the chance to change the course of history, and to rapidly shift our societies onto a safe and sustainable course.
We need our leaders to listen to their conscience, and to seize this precious and fleeting opportunity they have been given.
And we need the people of the world to recognize that the only true political power is that of the people. This is a fact- unacceptable political situations can only exist if we allow them to. But when the people truly stand for justice, with determination, and hope, and courage, it will prevail.
On a global scale, Climate Justice Fast! is just a handful of people.
But we are part of a worldwide movement that is growing every day- a movement whose message is so urgent, and so right, and so true, that it will not be denied. Justice will be done.
