"I'm a retired computer geek with a BS in biology. I've been married for over 40 years. I live in the woods in Dearing, Georgia, USA.
For almost 40 years I have been very aware of the problems caused by the idea that an economic system based on constant increase is sustainable. I think that most people, including our "leaders" can not look ahead to see the consequences of what they do.
I could go on for pages.... I guess I'm not very satisfied with the way people act. My current first concern is the suffering that will take place as the earth takes care of the plague of over-consuming people on it's surface. Of course the earth will be fine, but billions of people will suffer because of the shortsightedness and greed that are part of being human."
