Pablo will fast for 24 hours on 17 December.
"It's simple really. We are facing an emergency that is bigger than anything humanity has ever faced. The climate science is truly frightening. If we are going to avoid catastrophe then we need to act now and make big changes to our energy, transport, food systems, etc.
Fasting is a way of showing the public and our 'leaders' just how serious the situation is, and how passionately I feel about choosing human survival over the suicide that is business as usual."
