Rosie plans to fast for a day at the beginning, and then again later on with CJF.
"Hi there! my name is rosie. i'm 30ish, a community worker and right now an activist for Honduras. Climate justice, it means the solutions need to look at what are the cause of the problems and making some real changes, as a part of australia it is sad knowing our contribution to climate change and the lack of political will and the vested interests (coal, clean coal, aluminium, uranium), its sad when we hear the peter garrett's song and he is now part of something he was once campaigning against. In the wealthier parts of the world our consumption is crazy, the culture and aspirations are ruining the earth and the impact is worse upon those who have polluted less and who have less economic resources to have their human rights met let alone sovereignty of land and labour and some form of protection or adaptation to climate change.
Everything is interrelated, the whole system of how things are in this world where profits are prioritised over people (except the richer, some lives are seen as worthing more under this system, tragically and hurtfully) and the earth. I protest against this inhumane unearthing system, against carbon trading, REDD, exploitation, repression. Even if some goals seem impossible, to do nothing about them is impossible.
